Job Description
Pact, a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC, is implementing a USAID-funded project, Sajhedari Bikaas, aimed at empowering local communities to direct their own development. Pact has an immediate need for highly competent Nepali citizens to fill the following position.
District Field Coordinator (DFC)
Reporting to the Program Manager, the DFCs will support the SB program team and implementing partners to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of project activities. The successful candidates must be self-starters and demonstrate maturity, high energy, and mental alertness on a daily basis to respond effectively and creatively to implementation issues and opportunities that emerge across their program areas. The DFC will be based in Dhading.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support implementing partners to develop program plans
• Provide support to thematic managers in ensuring that all components are implemented effectively and according to the program’s design
• Support district partners and their staff and ensure that they fulfill their obligations to provide services to the communities in a timely and transparent manner
• Prepare and submit accurate progress reports of program activities, including training activities, in a timely manner
• Support implementing partners to ensure meaningful participation of women and marginalized communities in all project activities
• Monitor activities implemented by implementing partners and coordinate with the M&E team for data reporting
• Coordinate with line agencies, local government, donors, and other stakeholders to maximize project inputs and avoid duplication
• Attend relevant meetings and workshops arranged by partners and local stakeholders
• Facilitate coordination and integration among all SB partners within the district
• Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in development studies, economics, social science or other relevant field
• A minimum of three years of experience in development projects, with experience with local governance, coordination with government and non-governmental agencies, community development, local level planning process, inclusion and planning process strongly preferred
• Able and willing to work flexible hours as needed and without constant or close supervision
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
• Experience with donor-funded programs (USAID preferred)
• Excellent computer literacy in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Typing skills in both English and Nepali preferred.
• English fluency, both written and verbal, is a requirement
