The UNDP Nepal is seeking applications from qualified. talented and result oriented Nepalese citizens for following assignment:
Job title: District Recovery Coordinator
Contract type and level: SC (SB 5/1)
Duty Station: Gorkha District
Number of position: One
Contract Duration: Initially Six months with the possibility of extension
Key responsibilities:
Provide leadership and coordination to Community Infrastructure and Livelihood Working Group; Support N ‘RA district office to strengthen the coordination and information management system at district level; Support District Coordination Committee (DCC) in maintaining Coordination Forum functional and productive through Information Management; maintain UN inter-agency coordination at district level.
Required qualification and experience:
Completion of Master Degree in Social Sciences (Rural Development, Social Work etc.) or any other relevant field. At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian coordination or a related field; Experience working within the UN system/OCHA would be an advantage. Experience in humanitarian response and recovery operations (complex emergencies and/or natural disasters) is desirable.
