VACANCY: Labour-Based Road Construction
Supervisors— Humla & Mugu
Districts Rural Access Programme — Phase 3 (RAP3) is a 6-year DFID funded programme operating in 14 Districts of Nepal. It aims to improve people’s incomes and resilience through employment, sustainable access to markets and improved access to economic opportunities.
The Programme seeks to directly appoint construction supervision teams for its road construction works in difficult remote hilly terrain by Road Building Groups (MGs) involving extensive field visits on foot and welcomes applications for the following positions:
1. Engineering Officers (Assistant Resident Engineers)
- Must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with ideally at least 5 year’s relevant professional experience since graduating,
- Should demonstrate at least 3 years experience in design and/or construction supervision of labour-based district hill roads (‘green-roads’).
2. Inspector of Works (loW)
- Must possess at least a Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years specifically related work experience since passing out,
- Have significant previous supervision experience in rural hill road construction.
3. Senior Technical Supervisors (STS)
- Must possess at least a Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years relevant work experience since passing out,
- Have significant previous supervision experience in rural hill road construction and/or maintenance.
