Antenna Foundation Nepal (AFN) is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit making organization working in media development since 2002. We mainly focus on production of innovative and distinctive radio and TV programs on various platforms, including social media, for raising public awareness, positive behavioral change and media advocacy. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide overall leadership, management of human resources, direction and supervision in developing program, organizational plans for consistent and timely progress in order to achieve organizational goal.
  • Develop in-house capacity for enhancing standard of performance of the organization for handling media related projects.
  • Prepare fundraising strategy and lead business development component of the organization.
  • Strengthening relationships with key stakeholders including major partner media partners, CSOs, and major funders supporting Antenna’s efforts.
  • Ensure that all program deliverables are met in a high quality and timely manner.
  • Contribute, promote and coordinate knowledge sharing and learning.
  • Prepare M&E Framework, including ways of collecting, recording and analyzing
  • information for program learning purposes.
  • Prepare timely and complete submission of all performance reports and responses to donor requests for performance, success stories, and financial information.
  • Act as a liaison between AFN’s Executive Committee and overall staff for smooth functioning of the organization.

  • Masters degree in Communication/Management, development or other related field.
  • At least five years experience in senior level management position.
  • Result oriented and decisive team leader.
  • Experience of coordinating and administrating multi-partner projects, preferably media or communications related.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, fund raising, budgeting, preparing reports and M&E.
  • Sound understanding of the media in Nepal is an asset.
  • Fluency in Nepali and English with excellent writing skills in both languages.
