Job Description

World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following positions:

1. Position: Field Manager (One)-based in East Regional Office, Biratnagar

Key Responsibilities: The Field Manager will lead the management of WVIN’s projects/programmes. operationalization of organizational business processes, and collaboration of partnerships that will enable VVVIN and its partners to improve and sustain the well-being of the Most Vulnerable Children, their families and communities. He/She will manage results. stakeholders, risks and team of a WVIN’s Field Office and manage organizational strategic planning and continuous quality improvement.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:A Master’s degree in development sector with 5-7 years’ experience or Bachelor’s Degree with more than 7 years of experience in management, development or humanitarian sector. Should have understanding of poverty issues, development theories and sustainable development practices; Must have strong project management skills including the ability to plan and budget; manage performance of partners and contractors; Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to communicate vision, provide direction, motivate results, inspire commitment to organizational objectives and priorities, as well as encourage feedback, learning and continuous improvement; Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity with strong collaboration skills to mobilize engagement and influence. This role will be required to travel at least 60% of the time for project monitoring and managing key relationships

2. Support Service Field Manager (One)-based in West Regional Office, Dhangadi

Key Responsibilities: The Support Service Manager will provide overall leadership, oversight and management support for all aspects of financial management in the Area Field Office. This position is seen as a strategic partner, with a focus on ensuring accountability, stewardship, coordinating planning and budgeting processes, providing accurate financial data, analysis and advices. He/She will be responsible for the Area support staff capacity strengthening, the development and implementation of good internal controls, risk management, and utilization and safe guarding of assets according to World Vision approved policies and procedures in area offices; Should be able to manage the Supply Chain function in area office ensuring that the procurement of organizational resources is executed effectively, efficiently and economically; Must be able to manage the Administration function ensuring that the Area office is effectively supported and staff have a clean, secure and hospitable place to work.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:A Master’s degree in management. business administration or related area with 5 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree in management or business administration with more than 5 years of experience;Require knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practical knowledge of financial systems, internal controls, supply chain management and procedures; Should have thorough understanding and experience about Nepal Government’s strategies, policies, guidelines, plans about Logistics Management; Proven management and leadership skills in order to work and manage staffs of different nationalities with strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve. Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.This role will require to travel to remote areas for 25% of the time.

Core competencies for both the positions: Excellent oral and written English & Nepali; Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office; Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with decision making and problem solving skills; Good understanding of humanitarian Sector; Committed to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement.
