Marie Stopes International (MSI), UK, is a global social business providing reproductive health services across the world with a mission of ensuring every individual’s fundamental right to have children by choice, not chance. Sunaulo Parivar Nepal (SPN), a local implementing partner of Marie Stopes International in Nepal, is a well-established NGO which is delivering Family Planning and Sexual Reproductive Health services through-out Nepal via different service delivery channels: centres, mobile outreach, Marie Stopes (MS) Ladies, and through contraceptive social marketing.
Addressing unmet need for Family Planning among excluded and vulnerable women in Nepal is a UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID) funded project which supports the goals of the Nepal Health Sector Strategy 2015-2020 and is guided by DFID’s Business Case for the Nepal Family Planning Project and will support to strengthen delivery of the national family planning programme. This project will work in 40 districts over a period of 3 years (from March 2018 to December 2020) covering all seven provinces in Nepal to reduce maternal mortality and unmet need for FP by addressing gaps and challenges in the delivery of accurate and comprehensive FP information and in access to FP services. The project will also work towards strengthening the public sector and the creation of an enabling environment for FR We seek candidates who want to embrace new ways of working, take on multiple tasks, be a team player, and deliver sustainable results to ensure we can expand our services to reach more men and women in Nepal. We are looking for qualified and competent candidates for following positions:
1. Project Team Lead (Deputy Director Level) – One, Based in Kathmandu The Project Team Lead is responsible to lead DFID funded “Addressing unmet need for Family Planning among excluded and vulnerable women in Nepal” project through outreach and MS Ladies service delivery channel and provide support to the government in building capacity of their service providers. Sihe is also responsible for conducting advocacy and research related to the project. The Project Team Lead will be responsible to achieve operational excellency through timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
Minimum Requirement: Master’s Degree in Public Health or relevant discipline with proven experience of developing and implementing different project models, marketing, demand generation strategies and products targeted at different levels. At least six (6) years’ experience in planning, delivery and assessment of field level project activities (involving multiple locations). Prior experience of working in DFID projects would be a plus point.
2. Operation Manager — MS ladies, One, Based in Kathmandu The Operation Manager — MS ladies, is responsible to ensure robust, technically sound, efficient and effective program implementation and systems are in place for high performance in the given competitive environment.
Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Studies or relevant field with minimum of 5 years’ experience in management role.
3. HR Officer – One, Based in Kathmandu Human Resource (HR) Officer is responsible for supporting the Human Resources functions related to the project. S/he needs to support in designing and executing Human Resources related administrative and management plan.
Minimum Requirement: Bachelors’ degree in management with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Professional qualification in HR Management from a recognized institute will be an advantage. Excellent knowledge of Nepalese employment law and other related laws is essential.
4. Finance Officer – One, Based in Kathmandu The Finance Officer is responsible for managing overall financial activities of the project. Besides ensuring timely financial disbursements, expenses compliances, the position holder is also responsible for preparing complete and accurate financial reports in timely manner.
Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Management with Finance/ Accounting as specialization. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferably in managing finances in development sector.
5. Research Officer – One, Based in Kathmandu The Research Officer will contribute to develop and deliver Research Monitoring and Evaluation plans for project to support strategic goals; facilitate integration of RME into other departments of the organization; and support in conducting research, monitoring and evaluation activities (both qualitative and quantitative)
Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, statistics or relevant field with minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in Research and Metrics, ideally within the Reproductive Health sector. Have a good understanding of and exposure to statistical software e.g. SPSS and proficient in Microsoft office program.
6. QTA Officer -One, Based in Kathmandu The QTA Officer is responsible for a successful implementation and management of quality assurance related activities related to the project. QTA Officer will carryout all quality assurance related activities on time in close coordination with the Quality and Technical Assurance Manager.
Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience. Preference will be given to CTS, Implant and IUCD trained candidates.
7. Outreach Officer – Two, Based in Kathmandu
The Outreach Officer is responsible for implementation and management of Outreach programs in various districts related to the project. S/he will ensure attainment of project goals and objectives and provide support to develop, implement and expand the Outreach program efficiently and effectively.
Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in management or relevant field with minimum of 3 years’ experience of project implementation, monitoring and supervision at district level is preferred.

11. MS Ladies -Fifteen, Based in Taplejung-3, Ramechhap-3, Jajarkot-3, Kalikot -3 and Achham-3
The MS Ladies are responsible to deliver the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services in remote districts of Nepal. She ensures the attainment of the project goals and objectives and provide quality Family Planning (FP) services to clients. MS Ladies will offer all five modern family planning methods (STM and LARC). MS Ladies will carry out quality FP services as per the MSI/ SPN guidelines.
Minimum Requirement: Auxiliary Nurse Midwife with registered in Nepal Nursing Council with minimum of 2 years of related work experience especially in remote districts of Nepal. Prior experience of working in family planning services along with providing door to door services would be a plus point.
12. Warehouse Assistant – One, Based Kathmandu
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for warehouse management and stock management of all outreach and MS ladies channel related to the project.
Minimum Requirement: Minimum of Intermediate level in relevant discipline and with minimum of two years of work experience in warehouse and stock management.
