Nepal Agricultural Market Development Programme (NAMDP) is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Switzerland and the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Nepal. The project is being implemented jointly by Swisscontact/ Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation and Center for Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research, Extension and Development (CEAPRED). We invite applications from committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following positions:

A. Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer-1

Reports to: Senior M & E Specialist

Purpose: Under the overall guidance of the Senior M & E Specialist the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for the proper implementation of the monitoring and result measurement activities by the project and Its partners. This will entail, among others, planning, development of tools and methods for Impact assessments, field & desk research, data processing and report writing. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree In management or any other relevant field, minimum of three years of experience in the field of monitoring and results measurement in development projects preferably in market development or value chain development.

B. Position: Communication Officer-1

Reports to: Senior M & E Specialist

Purpose: Under the general guidance of the M & E Specialist the Communication Officer is responsible for implementing the communication activities of NAMDP. The post holder will contribute to the development and implementation of the communication strategy to ensure that NAMDP has a more robust internal, external and sector communication system in place. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in communication or a related field with at least 3 years work experience in communication in the development sector.

C. Position: Gender & Inclusion Specialist -1

Reports to: Team Leader

Purpose: Under the general guidance of the Team Leader, the Gender and Inclusion Specialist will be responsible to integrate gender and inclusion issues in NAMDP interventions. He/ she will lead the design and implementation of activities to achieve the strategic objectives of benefiting women farmers and farmers from the disadvantaged groups Required Education and Experience: Master’s degree In a relevant field. At least S years of relevant work experience in the development sector preferably In the area of private sector/ agriculture sector development.

D. Position: Programme Officer – 2 (Surkhet & Ramechap)

Reports to: Senior Market Developer

Purpose: Under the general guidance of the Senior Market Developer, the Programme Officer will be responsible for giving inputs to the NAMDP sector teams based in Kathmandu. Inputs include assistance in constraint analysis in selected sub-sectors, clusters and rural markets as well as in the design and implementation of interventions to address those constraints in the selected sub-sectors, clusters and rural markets.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in management or a related field with at least 3 years work experience in the development cooperation field with donor agencies, NGO/INGOs in agriculture value chain development/ market development. Experience of working in the programme districts (Ramechap, Okhaldunga, Khotang, Kalikot, lajarkot, Dailekh, Acham and Surkhet).

Duty Station: NAMDP PSU Office, Kupondole, Lalitpur (Except for the two positions of Programme Officer which will be based in Birendranager, Surkhet and Manthali, Ramechap►.
