Job Description
AWO International is a registered German INGO working in the fields of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid in Nepal, India & Bangladesh since the year 2009. The Program Coordinator’s tasks will be the monitoring and guidance of cooperation projects in the region (at time Nepal, India and Bangladesh), the provision of regular advisory services in context of thematic expertise such as project- and organizational development to the partner organizations (PO) such as contributing to the strategic program development of AWO International’s regional program portfolio in South Asia.
Qualification / Skills / Competencies Specific qualification
1. Master Degree in South Asian Studies, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Project Management, Business Administration or Development Studies;
2. At least three years of practical experiences in project work in South Asia;
3. Professional experiences in project and event management as well as planning, monitoring and evaluation procedures and managing budgets;
4. Professional experience in implementing projects supported by funds from the German Federal Ministry for Economic and Development Cooperation (BMZ) is an asset;
5. Solid knowledge and skill in financial project management and project accounting;
6. Language skills: fluent in English, Nepali and Hindi; German language is an asset;
7. Conversant with MS Office and other software assisting websites;
8. Continuous learning attitude and willingness to adapt to new tools, methodologies and ways of working;
9. Willing to work on weekends and evenings, if required.
