Job Title: Programme Officer (Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation)
Duty Station: Kathmandu Contract type and level: Service Contract(SB-4/2)
Duration: l year with possibility of extension
Key responsibilities: Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Strategic Partnership and Resource Mobilization Unit Head, and in close collaboration and coordination with the Representative, Deputy Representative, the Programme Officer will work to provide overall technical and logistic support to the Strategic Partnership and Resource Mobilization (SP&RM) unit. The Programme Officer will support partnership, communication, coordination and resource mobilization task of the SP&RM unit. The programme Officer will support in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the office’s partnerships strategy, focusing on government, development partners, civil society, the media and the private sector, in line with the country programme.
Required qualification and experience: Master’s degree in social sciences, communication, political or international affairs (i.e. international development studies, gender/women’s studies, human rights, communication, business development). A minimum of five years of professional experience in the field of partnership, business development and communication and campaigns.A strong background and technical experience in programming on strategic partnership, coordination, communication and resource mobilization is preferred. Sound knowledge of international standards on gender equality and women’s empowerment and related instruments. Prior experience of working with UN agencies will be an asset. A proven ability to liaise with a myriad of stakeholders and partners, including government, civil society, private sectors, international organizations and grassroots organizations.
