Save the Children together with its partners is implementing the SABAL (Sustainable Action for Resilience and Food Security) Food for Peace/USAID-funded project for 5 years.The project is designed to increase resilience for targeted vulnerable communities in II districts of central and eastern region of Nepal: Makawanpur, Sindhuli, Ramechap, Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Udayapur, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dolakha, Kavre, and Sindhupalchowk.The project aims to increase resilience, food security and improve access to economic opportunities by improving livelihood, disaster preparedness, health status and nutritional behaviors in youth, mothers and their children. Position: Senior Technical Manager Livelihood & NRM Level: 7+ Required No.(s): 1

Description

Direct and guide FFP Livelihood components ‘Strengthened and stable Income of targeted households’ (SO I), and provide programmatic support to health and nutritional (502) and Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation (503). Manage and provide strategic leadership to implement Livelihood activities and ensure high quality delivery and outcomes envisioned in theory of change. Co-ordinate and interface with FFP Technical Consortium Partners as well as other relevant groups/institutions and important private sector actors. Responsible for managing day to day close interaction and coordination with government offices Ministry oft\griculture, Department Agriculture Extension (DAE), Ministry of Livestock (MOL) and Department of Fisheries (DOF), Nepal Agriculture Research Council, University of Agriculture & Forest Science and liaise with them with respect to programmatic issues in technical aspects.

Eligibility 
Master’s Degree in Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, business agriculture or related field from reputed university. Skills in designing and management of market-based livelihood projects and reporting.

Minimum 10 years program management experience in integrated Livelihood Programme and implementation.

Employment & Enterprise Coordinator Level: 6 Required No.(s): 1

Description

Responsible to overall management of employment and enterprise development programs +Information/communication +network at the district level. Ensure quality works in providing vocational trainings and employment linkage enterprise development training and services, linkage with market, supporting to introduce appropriate technology, address safe migration strategy and maintain training programs in close coordination with Nepal Community Resilience Sabal team.

Eligibility 

Master’s degree in Management, Social Science, development studies or related stream With 3 years (2 years for GSI group*) of experience in Rural Livelihood based development, vocational training, enterprise creation and livelihood base income generation/poverty reduction program

Term and Location:

Fixed term position till February 2019 based in Makwanpur

Position: MEAL Officer Level: 5 Required No.(s): 4

Description

Ensure smooth functioning of MEAL system Sabal project districts and PNGOs; Conduct monthly quality monitoring in line with Quality Benchmark (QB); mentor PNGOs MEAL team in the area of MEAL approach. Support during base line survey design, formative & operational research; mange/executed evaluation; prepare MEAL monthly/quarterly report and review program periodic report on time etc.; Ensure the complaint & feedback mechanisms are well function.

Eligibility 

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Development Studies, Statistics, M&E or related Social Sciences With 3 years (2 years for GSI group*) of experience in monitoring and evaluation or research experience preferably with INGOs

Term and Location:

Fixed term position till February 2019 based in Udaypur, Makwanpur, Ramechap and Sindhulli

*GSI group include Female, Dalit, Madhesi, People with Disabilities and other indigenous/minorities
