Description
The position holder will be responsible for leading the upcoming DFID Nepal Urban Resilience Project to support national and local government in strengthening the urban resilience to natural disasters and also to strengthen national policy development, implementation and monitoring in relation to disaster resilience. The post holder will be responsible for providing strategic and leadership support for the management and delivery of upcoming DFID Nepal Urban Resilience Program. S/he will be responsible for providing technical support to the team on Urban disaster risk assessment, plans and business systems and strategic inputs regarding Food Security, Water Sanitation and Health, Disaster Risk Reduction, Public Health and Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction. S/he will oversee Human Resource Management and also be responsible for Program Development, Partnership Management and Reporting.

Desired Skills and Competencies
Master’s Degree in International Development/ Development Management! Urban Planning/ DRR & Climate Change Adaptation/ Civil Engineering, or similar subjects with 5 years of experience in Urban resilience and policy work.
