The Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT) Nepal invites application from certified accountants for the post of Accounts Officer to be based in Headquarters GWT Nepal, British Gurkhas Pokhara as outlined below. The GWT is a charitable organisation registered in the United Kingdom working mainly for the welfare of British Gurkha Ex-servicemen. their dependants and community in Nepal through various Individual Aid and CommunityAid programmes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have completed Chartered Accountants (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)or ACCA(UK).
  • Must have a valid membership certificate issued by ICAN
  • Conversant to Nepalese/Intemational accounting standard, corporate laws and other relevant laws/regulation.
  • Proficient in wnttenispoken English and Nepali and possess excellent knowledge in Excel and amounting software.
  • Must be Nepali citizen

REQUIRED BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of three years of work experience with reputed Organization/Audit Firms.
  • Experience in waking with Government/International Organizations preferable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to work under pressure,
  • Experience at working independently and in a team oriented collaborative environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administering overall day to day accounting function.
  • Maintaining HQ GWS and Area Welfare Centre (AWC)Accounts.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Managing cash flow planning.
  • Compiling and presenting reports, budget, business plan, commentaries and financial statements.
  • Finanaal forecasting and risk analysis.
  • Duties as assigned.

REMUNERATION

Competitive salary with One month pay as Dashain Bonus and Medical Cover as per GWS Staff Regulations The job is offered for 3 years initially and may be extended as required
