Key responsibilities:

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Programme Specialist, UNCDF Nepal and in close consultations with the UNCDF Regional Office and the Partnership and Communications Unit in HQ, the Communications / Knowledge Management Officer will participate in the implementation of the UNCDF Inclusive Finance (IF) programme in Nepal. Required qualification and experience:

Completion of Master’s Degree in communications, journalism, information technology, multimedia or other relevant fields. Advanced training in communications, journalism, photo/video editing using multimedia software and desktop publishing is desirable. At least 5 years of relevant experience in media at the national level and development communications is required; Knowledge/experience in web content management, use of multimedia/ graphics/ layout/design software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, and handling of still/video cameras will be treated as desirable technical qualifications; Knowledge of the UN and development issues would be an advantage. Fluency in Nepali and English, both spoken and written.
