Job Description
The Asia Foundation invites applications for the following positions in a multiyear program on subnational governance, from Nepali citizens with a Master’s degree or higher in political science, economics, public policy, or development studies, and excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Deputy Program Director
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in managing and implementing local, urban, or economic governance related programs, preferably within South Asia region.
- Knowledge of politically-informed programming and gender equity & social inclusion approaches.
- Extensive relationship management experience with development donors.
1. Program Manager
- Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in managing and implementing local, urban, or economic governance related programs within Nepal, and preferably South Asia.
- Knowledge of politically-informed programming and gender equity & social inclusion approaches.
- Extensive experience working directly with local government, civil society, private sector, and other stakeholders at subnational level.
2. Four Program Officers
- Minimum 3 years of experience in position.
- Understanding of development programming related to governance, politics, economics, or social justice.
- Demonstrated writing ability in English & Nepali. In addition, all applicants will be assessed on their ability to:

- communicate clearly
- travel extensively.
