HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal.
Nepal Agricultural Services Development Programme (NASDP) is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland and implemented by the HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal. It invites applications from interested and committed Nepali citizens for the following position:
Position : District Project Coordinator
Duty station :NASDP district office in Ramechhap
Job Purpose: The District Project Coordinator is responsible for overall coordination in programme implementation in the working Palikas of the district. The incumbent promotes decentralised and pluralistic extension and research system in the respective Palikas. S/He plays lead role in the capacity needs assessments of local service providers and farmer organisations, and in the facilitation of organising the required actions. S/He is responsible for strengthening district and Palika level stakeholder relations, collaboration and fund flow management. S/He supports the Cluster Coordinator in administrative and project management activities.
Reporting to: Cluster Coordinator (Okhaldhunga)
Required Education, Experience and Social Competency: Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture (BSc. Ag.) with at least 2 years relevant experience in agriculture extension and research. Master’s degree will be an advantage. Sensitivity towards issues related to gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.
Duration: Till 31st December 2019 with possibility of extension Remuneration and Benefits: As per the rules and regulations of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal.
