CRS was founded in 1943 to assist the poor and disadvantaged overseas. Working in over 100 countries, our mission is to alleviate human suffering, and advance full human development. In Nepal CRS is working in Gorkha and has a long- term commitment to provide high quality assistance to help vulnerable groups recover and develop their livelihoods and to rebuild safer homes. Applicants for the below positions must be Nepalese citizens with excellent written and spoken English, as well as competency with Microsoft Office.

1 Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager (1 Position-Based in Gorkha):

This positon will be responsible for leading and providing guidance and technical support to ensure MEAL management and full readiness of MEAL implementation across all of CRS Nepal’s programs— specifically early recovery programs that includes but are not limited to shelter, WASH, livelihood and community accountability. Master’s degree in Development or related field and experience working in development. At least 3 years of managerial experience with NGOs. Excellent data management skills using Microsoft Excel and Access and database applications like SPSS, STATA, Epilnfo. Ability to lead and provide technical support to MEAL Implementation across CRS Nepal’s programs. Ability tofind solutions to problems and make decisions. Experience programming and using ICT4D and computer-assisted interviewing tools, Worm etc.

2 Head of Operation (HoOps) (1 Position-Based In Kathmandu):

The primary function of this position is to provide leadership and oversight of the Nepal country program’s operational support departments including Human Resources, Finance, Information and Communication Technology, Supply Chain Management, Audit, Security, and other Administration. The HoOps ensures that programs are supported to effectively meet articulated needs, manage risk, and increase efficiency. Master’s in business administration, finance, accounting, human resources, or other relevant field. Minimum five years’ work experience in a management role of non-profit, development, and/or humanitarian organization. Experience managing large, complex U.S. government awards; knowledge of relevant regulations. Knowledge of procurement and general office administration/management issues. Computer literate in MS Office, Internet, email. Strong communications and analytical abilities.

3 Head of Office (HoO) (1 Position-Based in Gorkha):

This position will oversee operations in the CRS office in Gorkha. This senior staff will be responsible for security, administration, logistics, communications and other day-to-day operations in Gorkha. Master’s degree in a directly related field, such as management, business administration, human resources or other relevant field; significant work experience in a directly related field will be considered in lieu of graduate degree. Minimum of five years’ work experience in development and/or emergency programs. Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Nepali. Strong cross-cultural skills and experience working with people from different ethnic/cultural backgrounds. Demonstrated capacities to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with donors, government officials, local organizations, communities and other stakeholders. Proven ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and to develop proposals and write reports meeting donor requirements. Must be able to work independently and represent CRS. Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel)
