Position : Head of Support Services
Work station : Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal
Reports To : Country Director
Contract : 12 months fixed term (with possibility of an open ended contract as per policy)
Position Summary: Reporting directly to Country Director, she/he is responsible for ensuring that Handicap International’s Finance, HR & Admin, Logistics management, Compliance and Government Liaison systems are in place and in-line with the country’s legal framework as well as the administrative framework defined by head office. She/he actively contributes to the strategic direction of the country programme and will be a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
Job Description:
- Lead the Support Service Unit of Handicap International Nepal program being direct line manager of Finance, HR & Admin, Logistics, Compliance and Government Liaison
- Manage the overall country program financial management which includes proposal budget development, annual budget planning, financial monitoring and forecasting
- Be responsible for donor project contract verification, negotiation and implementation of contractual obligation and procedure
- Facilitate HR & Admin department to ensure that HR policies are up-to-date and in-line with national labor law, tax law and any other relevant laws
- Ensure that special terms & conditions applying to expats are communicated to them and applied consistently
- Ensure staff recruitment process, annual job appraisal, training and human resource capacity development plan are in place
- Supervise the procurement and management of supplies, fleet management, equipment, stock, server and communication.
- Monitor and, as necessary, coordinate compliance activities of country office and ensure compliance with Nepal laws
Job Specification:
- At least 7 years of professional experience of managing support/admin services preferably in the INGO sector holding a Master’s degree/MBA in Financial Management/HR
- Strong leadership, experience in training and/or coaching having patience, flexibility and self-reliance with fluency in English and Nepali languages
- Strong background in Finance, Logistic, HR and Administration, audit and local laws
Position : Compliance Officer
Work station : Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal
Reports To : Head of Support Services
Contract : 12 months fixed term (with possibility of an open ended contract as per policy)
Position Summary: Reporting Directly to Head Of support Services, the Compliance Officer is responsible to ensure and support the compliance of H.I. Nepal and donor rules in the HI Nepal program and partner organizations.
Job Description:
- Ensure the H.I. Nepal and donor rules compliance in HI Nepal program
- Provide orientation and training to H.I. Nepal staff and partner staffs in H.I. Nepal and donor rules and procedures
- Facilitate and be responsible for local partnership agreement and fund transfer
- Organize and plan regular internal audit in the organization and partner organizations
Job Specification:
- Master’s degree in relevant field with 3 years’ work experience
- Good orientation and training skills
- Knowledge of internal audit, audit and policy implementation
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Nepali languages
