Job Description

World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following position:

Position: IT Manager (One)-based in National Office, Lalitpur

Key Responsibilities: The IT Manager will provide leadership of the IT function within WVIN to support the business priorities of the organization. He/She will be accountable for IT related activities by maintaining organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, forecasting and supporting strategic plans of organization through IT. This role involves management/administration of IT systems in the National Office & working area offices to provide appropriate strategic direction.The role will be required to visit all working area offices to support IT infrastructure & orient staff to use the IT resources.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies required for the position:

A Masters degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering/IT or related field from recognised university with at least 3 years experience (preferred) or a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/ Computer Engineering/IT or related field from recognised university with at least 5 years of relevant work experience; Should have knowledge of server administration (Windows server), LAN/WAN; Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification is desirable; Good knowledge of Lotus Notes/domino administration,VPN, Firewall, Cisco Router,TCP/IP management; Excellent oral and written English & Nepali; Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications including use of Office 365, Sharepoint; Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility; Good interpersonal, problem solving & time management skills; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Strategic, creative, innovative thinking with decision making skills; Good understanding of humanitarian Sector.
