Federation of Community Forestry Users, Nepal (FECOFUN) is an umbrella organization of Community Forest Users Groups (CFUGs) which has been working across the country for 23 years. FECOFUN’s major objective is to strengthen CFUGs capacity by ensuring sustainable management of forest and livelihood improvement of poor and vulnerable group of community. FECOFUN has been leading the advocacy to safeguard the rights and justice at both local and national level.
The Hariyo Ban Program is a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded initiative implemented by a consortium of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) (lead organization), Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere (CARE), National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC), and the Federation of Community Forestry Users Nepal (FECOFUN). FECOFUN hereby invites applications for the below mentioned position for Hariyo Ban Program from interested Nepalese candidates.
Position: Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation Officer
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation Officer is responsible for monitoring and documenting of the activities in close coordination with the monitoring unit of Hariyo Ban Program. S/he is primarily responsible for updating the database system as well as documents in close relation with the program team and field office. S/he needs to make frequent visits to assist the field offices in TAL and CHAL for monitoring and updating the database.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
At least Bacholar’s degree in forestry, environmental science, or a relevant degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in the field of forestry, biodiversity conservation in Nepal. Experience of working with the multidisciplinary, multi cultural team, especially in natural management sector is desired.
