World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following position:
Position : National Programme Manager — Health & Nutrition (One)
Job Location : WVIN, National Office, Lalitpur
Work Purpose : To provide leadership in designing and managing WVIN’s entire national portfolio of health and nutrition related programming and to ensure achievement of the organisational targets for Health and Nutrition Programme.
Minimum Qualification and Experience Required :
Master’s Degree in a health and nutrition related field from recognized university with at least five years’ experience in health programming or the equivalent 5-10 years’ experience in 1/NG0s; Good knowledge of the latest development thinking on health programming with strong emphasis on child health; Good understanding and appreciation of health programming that takes an empowerment approach including community-led activities and advocacy; Good understanding on programme cycle including project planning, design, monitoring and evaluation; Demonstrating high level of networking, partnership and coordination ability with excellent analytical/problem-solving skills; Excellent writing skills required to develop reports capturing good practice and learning with fluency in Nepali and English — both oral and written; Working experience in a rural or remote district and preparing and leading training and workshops; Good understanding of strategy development and implementation, engaging international donors and government staff on advocacy, to achieve greater impact in the lives of children with quality monitoring; Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation;Ability to operate effectively and sensitively in the cultural context of Nepal ;Willingness to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values; Self-motivated, confident, independent, creative with strong analytical and interpersonal skills; Positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people.
