The Micro Enterprise Development Programme (MEDEP IV), being implemented by the Ministry of Industry, contributes to the poverty reduction and employment generation efforts of the Government of Nepal (GoN) through micro-entrepreneurship development. It alms to support GoN to implement Micro Enterprise Development for Poverty Alleviation (MED-PA) by building the capacities of government at central and local levels to develop and create structures, policies and enabling environment to implement micro enterprise development and strengthening access to markets, finance and business development services. MEDEP is seeking applications from qualified, talented and result oriented Nepalese citizens for the following assignment:

Job title: Procurement Consultant

Station: Kathmandu

Duration: Total 36 days

Key Responsibilities:

The consultant shall work under the direct supervision of National Programme Director. MEDEP and will impart practical knowledge on the GoN-based MEDSPs tender process to the procurement committees and inform about the procurement risks and how to address the risks. Required Qualification and Experience: Complete Master’s Degree in Business Management and relevant fields with more than 5 years of practical experience in the field of procurement rocess and public finance management. S/he should have an in-depth knowledge of the governance. p legal, policy, procurement, micro/small enterprise, social enterprise development of Nepal. S/he should be duly registered in VAT. S/he must have good written and spoken skills in English and Nepali languages. S/he should be well verse with computer applications.
