The UNV Nepal is seeking applications from qualified, talented and result oriented candidates for the following assignment:
Job title: UNV Programme Analyst Contract type and
level: FTA /NOB
Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
Key responsibilities: The UNV Programme Analyst will be responsible for effective strategic planning, leading to mobilization and placement of UN Volunteers; administrative/operational support; advocacy and positioning of UNV interests in the country, in line with UNV’s Strategic Framework; building and maintaining relationships with main partners; effectively coordinate with the Regional Office and HQ organizational units on volunteer mobilization, programme implementation, and provision of substantive inputs and facilitation of corporate initiatives; increase and volunteer volume in-country through these programmatic and partnership functions.
Required qualification and experience: Completion of Master’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Project Management, Public/Business Administration or any relevant field; minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience preferably in a humanitarian, development and/or peace related field; work experience with the United Nations will be an asset; previous experience in a civil society setting and/or as a volunteer with volunteer management and/or promotion of volunteerism is a distinct advantage; fluency in English and in the local language of the duty station.
