Handicap International (H.I.), an INGO working in the field of disability in Nepal invites applications from qualified Nepali candidates for the following positions:

1. Livelihood Recovery Manager (1 year contract, based in Kathmandu)-upcoming project

Job Profile: He/she has full responsibility for project implementation and achieving project objectives to the project team, coordinates with partner organization.

Job Requirement: Master’s degree in agriculture, natural resources management, social protection or related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in I/NGO with at least one year experience in the livelihood recovery project. Sound knowledge on cash based interventions and excellent networking abilities with local government authorities are a must.

2. Livelihood Officer (1 year contract based in Kathmandu with field visits)-upcoming project

Job Profile: He/she supports the project manager and trains partner’s Livelihood Officer and provides skills to partner team.

Job Requirement: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, social work, microfinance, or related fields. Minimum 3 years’ experience in I/NGOs with a focus on inclusive livelihoods, local governance and social protection. At least one year experience managing cash for work interventions is preferred.

3. Engineer-Civil (1 year contract based in Kathmandu with field visits)-upcoming project

Job Profile: He/she is responsible for all technical inputs and quality control.

Job Requirement: Minimum Bachelors in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the rehabilitation of community schemes, prior experience of working in l/NGOs will be an added advantage.

4. Project Assistant (1 year contract based in Kathmandu)-upcoming project

Job Profile: He/she supports the project manager in general administration of the project related to liaison with partners, finance, procurement, logistics, and compliance of partners.

Job Requirement: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. An experience of at least two years’ required in a similar position, preferably in an INGO.

5. Senior Project/Training Officer (1 year contract based in Kathmandu with field visits)-Early Detection Project

Job Profile: He/she will facilitate overall training activities, upgrading curricula and material on early detection of birth/congenital defects, early detection of childhood disabilities

Job Requirement: Minimum Bachelors in Physiotherapy or related field with strong clinical experience in detection and management of impairments, strong skills in monitoring and evaluation of training and service delivery interventions is preferred.

6. Data Monitoring and Reporting Officer (10 months’ contract based in Jajarkot)-Early Detection Project

Job Profile: He/she is responsible for data collection and data management processes at implementation and control districts while ensuring quality documentation and reporting process for the project.

Job Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in sociology, development studies, statistics or related field; Minimum 3 years’ experience in M&E field, database management and data analysis procedures.Locals shall be given preference.

7. Senior Program Officer- PQD (1 year contract based in Kathmandu)

Job Profile: He/she supports the Head of Program Quality and Development (PQD) in writing project proposals and concept papers for new donors

Job Requirement: Master’s degree in local governance, social protection, social work, agriculture, development studies, microfinance, or related fields. An experience of 3-4 years in fund raising, project design and management is desirable.

8. Program Officer-Operations (1 year contract based in Kathmandu)

Job Profile: Under direct supervision of Head of Operations, he/she supports in all project’s operational activities with a particular focus on reporting process for the funding contracts, with internal development of projects’ capacities in reporting

Job Requirement: Minimum Bachelor degree in Social sciences, Management, development studies or any related field. At least 3 years of experience in project implementation, preferably in I/NGO sector required.
