Lutheran world Relief (LWR), a U.S .based non. profit development organization, Is seeking to recruit Project Coordinator -Shelter Support to the Earthquake Affected Communities of Nepal (PC-SEACON) for echo funded project. The position is based in Desisahar, Lamjung District.
The core functions of the PC-SECON are to assist in the management of Shelter Support to Earthquake Affected Communities of Nepal (SEACON) ensure smooth relationship with partners: quality implementation of the program following procurement procedure, financial management and reporting; coordinate implementation of LWR implemented projects particularly SEACON; identifying the most relevant and effective mechanism to allow Me affected families regain normalcy: documenting lessons learned, and monitoring the project implementation of partners. The role of the Project Coordinator is to ensure Mat the SEACON project is implemented in accordance with Me approved proposal and budget a. award administration agreement (AAA). along with representing LWR at local FIRRP meetings, °CRC, and liaising with relevant government office, local bodies of NRA and other relevant offices. The position holder should visit field on periodic basis, prepare both field visit and project progress reports and submit to LWR country Office Kathmandu. The project duration is one year and Me project was started from May 1 2016.
The PC-SEACON is the member of the program for the Earthquake response and keeps the Director Nepal Earthquake Response Program informed of program related activities.
-Required qualifications and core competencies:
• Deep commitment LWRs core value and abilityto model Mose values in relationships with colleagues a. partners,
• Minimum 3/4 years previous experience working with INGO in humanitarian response and Disaster Risk Reduction.
• Familiar with and ablde by HOMallit.in laWs, International frameworks and other regulatory codes SPHERE standards and MP
• Understanding of the DRR contexts, ORR and Humanitarian response program in Nepal.
• Demonstrated experience in designing monitoring a. evaluating emergency responses and expose to emergency response projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject preferably in engineering
• Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent facilitation skills in conducting meetings, training workshops and conferences.
• Familiarity with Lamjung area would be an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with local government, non-government organizations, community based organizations and other grassroots organizations.
• Ability to travel about BM of the time.
• Proficiency in using Word, Excel, e-mail and web browser software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to take instructions from superiors.
