Save the Children together with its partners is implementing the SABAL (SustainableAction for Resilience and Food Security) Food for Peace/USAID-funded project for 5 years. The project is designed to increase resilience for targeted vulnerable communities in 11 districts of central and eastern region of Nepal: Makawanpu cSindhuli, Ramechap,Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Udayapur,Rasuwa,Nuwakot,Dolakha.Kavre.and Sindhupalchowk.The project aims to increase resilience,food security and mprove access to economic opportunities by improving livelihood, disaster preparedness, health status and nutritional behaviors in youth. mothers and their children. Descritpion
Ensure effective implementation of construction related cash for works (CFVV) initiatives including quality assurance; work closely with PNGOs to identify construction districts and carry out pre-feasibility study; carryout detail design and cost estimate of the selected construction related initiatives and recommend with detail report for approval; ensure environment considerations and mitigation measures are well incorporated; prepare and submit status/progress reports on CFW; facilitate users’ committee formation/reformation process and help liaise withVDC and other agencies
Eligibility
Intermediate level (Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 2 years (1 year for GS! group) of working experience in community infrastructure works: experience in facilitating user’s committee and familiarity using AutoCAD will be an added value
Term & Location
Fixed term position till February 2019 based in Udayapur, Makwanpur and Nuwakot
