The British Embassy, Kathmandu Is looking for an experienced and dynamic employees for the following posts:
1 Corporate Services Assistant
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To carry day to day to day transaction processing finance in liaison with other teams in British Embassy and Manila and back up for reception roles.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Transaction Processing Finance (70%)
- Private Billing to staff.
- PRISM Housekeeping.
- Requisitioner for CS department/Distribution sets.
- Process all payment.
- Stationary management.
- Other ad-hoc work requests as per Corporate Services Officer.
Back up Reception Duties (15%)
- Attending to the incoming & outgoing calls. This role includes the active screening of calls prior to passing them to concerned officers.
- Support to all Embassy staff on all telephone enquiries, directory assistance and other related issues.
- Despatching faxes. This role also includes checking that faxes are complete before passing on to officers (if incomplete, a request should be made for re- transmission). Checking the name and address on all mail received and putting it to concerned officer’s dip and every morning sorting out the news paper.
- To welcome visitors to the reception area, establish their identity & provide them assistance.
Human Resources
- Logistic arrangement for local training.
- Coordination for any local translation.
- Providient Fund related transaction.
- Bachelors in Business Studies, Bachelor in Business Management or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of experience on Accounts/Finance work.
For British Embassy candidates, the Local Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.
For other than British Embassy candidates, The total annual remuneration package for this position is NPR 486,914 which includes Provident Fund contribution.
The successful candidate will be provided with 30 days of annual leaves, maternity/paternity and membership in the Embassy medical benefits scheme as per the Terms & Conditions of Services.The British Embassy in Kathmandu is part of a world-wide network of 240 Posts, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. 2 Technical Works Assistant
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To carry out effective day to day maintenance work, routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, new installation and construction works.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
New Installation Works
- To carry out installation and test of electrical equipments.
- To assist from electrical aspect in the installation air con, freezer and other electrical appliances.
- To carry out wiring, cabling, installation of electrical panels, telephone, fire fighting equipments and detectors.
- To assist in the installation of new machines, gen-set, lighting and power system.
Maintenance/Repairing/Cleaning/Routine Maintenance
- Carry out the routine inspection, preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance of electrical appliances & equipments, air con units, solar panel, water heater, and generator set.
- To carry out the routine test and inspection of fire safety equipments as per fire safety code.
- To carry out the routine inspection, cleaning and preventive. maintenance of lighting system, emergency lights and CCTV.
- To carry out maintenance and inspection of tools and lifting equipments
- To follow the FCO HSP’s.
Other Duties
- Ad hoc tasks delegated by Technical Works Supervisor.
- To carry out operation and repair works in Weekend as per requirement
- To follow the inventory policy of estate’s stores.
WHAT WE DO
We provide service to British Embassy and DFID office and residence ensuring FCO standards.
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
Quality and consistent service with technical expertise and advice.
- Minimum School Leaving Certificate or equivalent
- CTEVT level 2 certification or equivalent on electrical
- Minimum 5 years experience in relevant technical works
- Minimum 15 month electrical training from reputed institution
- Driving licence for two wheelers
- Driving licence for four wheelers
