CRS is an international NGO based in the United States that works in over 100 countries to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting disease and poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. CRS Nepal implements earthquake recovery and resilience programming in Gorkha and Okhaldhunga districts to provide technical support for reconstruction of earthquake resilient houses, livelihood recovery and WASH. The Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) is led by CRS Nepal, and other financial contributors and INGOs. CRS Nepal invites applications from interested Nepalese citizens for the following positions:
Translator– 1 position based in Kathmandu: Minimum of 3 years experience as a professional translator from English to Nepali and Nepali to English. Bachelor’s degree in translation and interpretation or related field. Previous experience in translation for humanitarian or recovery efforts in Nepal, particularly related to housing is an advantage. Experience in preparing professional documents. Fluent written and spoken English.
Administrative Assistant- 1 position based in Manthali, Ramechhap: Minimum 2 years experience working in an office environment in administrative role. High School diploma required. Professional diploma/Certificate or courses in Administration preferred.Provide consistent and high-quality service in the day-to-day delivery of responsive, effective and efficient administrative. Excellent written and Spoken English. Experience in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and information management systems. Proficient in Word.
Driver-1 position based in Manthali, Ramechhap: Minimum 3 years of driving experience both personal and official capacity. Minimum 3 years’ experience in driving in rural, hilly and off-road conditions. Graduate of vocational or technical course or any related degree. Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Proven English communication skills both written and verbal preferred. Willing to work long hours including weekends and holidays.
