The Green Climate Fund Readiness Programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and implemented by the Ministry of Finance with the technical support from United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment). The programme aims to support the Government of Nepal in strengthening its national capacities to effectively and efficiently plan for, access, manage, deploy and monitor climate financing in particular through the Green Climate Fund (GCF). GCF Readiness Programme is seeking applications from qualified, talented and result oriented candidates for the following position:
Post Title: Translator — English to Nepali (Consultant)

Duration: 09 July 2017 to 31 December 2017
Duty Station: Kathmandu
Key responsibilities: The overall objective of the consultancy will aim to support the GCF Project Management Unit for the translation of key knowledge products from English to Nepali to be published by the Readiness Project that is estimated at 300 pages (250 words per page).
Required qualifications and experiences: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Nepali, Journalism, Communication, or any other relevant subject. At least 5 years of relevant experience in translation work from English to Nepali, research, journalism and copy editor.
