First date of publication: 12 July 2017 The Local Governance and Community Development Programme (LGCDP)-I1 implemented by the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) and supported by a range of development partners, is transitioning into the Sub National Governance Programme in the context of the new federal Constitution and the three tiers of government system. With this background, the LGCDP H has been extended for one more year as a Transition to Sub National Governance Programme (TSNGP) with the objective of supporting institutionalization of sub national governance for smoother and efficient transition management.
LGCDPII- TSNGP is seeking applications from qualified, talented and result oriented Nepalese citizens for the following position:
Post Title: Project Assistant
No. of position: One Contract type and level: SB 3 Peg 1
Duration: Annual contract
Duty Station: Kathmandu
Job responsibilities: The Project Assistant will report to the Programme Management Specialist-Local Governance, and will work in close collaboration with the Coordination and Monitoring Specialist to support the Development Partner’s Cell (DP Cell) in reporting and monitoring the work progress of programme inputs and assist to document the progress on a bimonthly basis; Work in coordination with development partners and government officials in planning, implementation and reporting of progress; support in carrying out administrative functions of the DP Cell.
Qualifications and experiences required: Completion of Intermediate degree in Business Studies, Social Science or related fields; five years working experience on office management support including financial management skills; should have a good command of oral and written communication skills in both Nepali and English.
